Our passionate purpose is to teach great ideas and tools of heart-centered life-leadership in practical ways so they can be effectively used in every aspect of daily living. And, as a non-profit organization, we have been committed to offering our programs at affordable prices (as well as offering scholarships). Feel free to contact us if you would like more information. Christian Saade
Founder, Senior Coach/Senior Trainer
Chris Saade is an author, life coach, and a psychological and philosophical teacher. After closing his psychotherapy private practice, Saade spent 20 years training therapists, coaches, and ministers in his two models: Integra: 6 Keys for Heart-Centered Living, andIndividual Authenticity and Global Solidarity.

Saade has led nearly 250 multi-day cutting-edge workshops for professionals and the general public. He continues to offer personal life-coaching.

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, he was involved in peace groups before and during the Lebanese war. Those difficult years lead him to develop a great respect for freedom, authenticity, diversity, peace, and a passion for justice, especially for children.

Saade is the author of Second Wave Spirituality: Passion for Peace, Passion for Justice; andPrayers for Peace and Justice; as well asPrayers from the Heart; and co-authored Evolutionary Love Relationships: Passion, Authenticity, and Activism. The Saade-Harvey team has also created two CD sets: An Evolutionary Vision of Relationships and Sacred Activism and the Epic Spirituality of Love. Saade resides in San Diego.

Barry Sherman
Trainer/Senior Coach
Barry served as the ILC’s Program Coordinator and Assistant Director over a span of 20 plus years and is also certified as an ILC Senior Coach and Trainer. He is a musician and songwriter with three CD’s to his credit (including a CD for children). Many of his songs express key ideas and themes of the ILC’s work. Barry completed his undergraduate degree in Music Education at Western Michigan University and received a

Master's degree in social work from the University of South Carolina. While still closely connected with Chris Saade and offering active support for Chris’s on-going work, Barry is approaching his 20th year of work as a school social worker with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system.
Casey Robertson
Trainer/Advanced Facilitator/Consultant
Casey has been involved with the institute from its inception. She is very passionate about the idea of self-development as an ethical responsibility. Her mission is to support and inspire others to free their unique one-of-a-kind way of being in the world and to develop and bring their idiosyncratic nature as an impacting gift to their loved ones, community, and world.
Tom Anthony
Director/Advanced Facilitator
Tom has been involved with the institute since the late 1990’s before it was even called the ILC. He is a college instructor of mathematics at Central Piedmont Community College. Tom is a writer and performance artist who has published twelve books of poetry. His latest work Through the Garden was published by CPCC Press. He is very passionate about mentoring young people and he loves to inspire others to plug into their own passion and live a full life. He is a big community builder and a lover of the outdoors. His passions include basketball, river kayaking and hiking. He is the founder of the newly created Uwharrie Memorial Retreat Center in Uwharrie NC. Tom is very proud of his young adult son Chris who is doing graduate work.
Cindy Ballaro
Assistant Director, Facilitator & Humanitarian Team Leader
Cindy Ballaro’s work experience has utilized her expertise in a combination of areas including marketing, development, facilitation, project management, and singing. She has worked with businesses (both for-profit and non-profit), and has founded several new businesses including Marketing Matters, a boutique marketing/PR agency, and The Respite, A Center for Grief and Hope. Cindy is a professional singer both as a soloist and with a partner, singing “music that matters.”

On her conscious journey for close to 30 years now, Cindy has participated in numerous self-development workshops, groups and retreats, evolving more with each experience. She was a member of the Full Coaching program of the ILC for over 15 years and also completed the Facilitation training. She lives from her heart and is an eternal optimist, a manifester of ideas, and a seeker of meaning and purpose. She holds facilitation certificates from the Institute of Life-Leadership and Coaching, and in SoulCollage®.
